About the Phd-program
The main objective of the PhD-program at Department of Communication and Psychology is to ensure continuous contact with the enrolled PhD-students, including administration related to supervision, progress reports, external research stays, knowledge dissemination, thesis submission and evaluation, etc. The program also organizes PhD-courses in cooperation with the various research sections at the department.
The PhD-program is one out of six doctoral programs under the Doctoral School of Social Sciences and Humanities at AAU. The Doctoral School is managed by a PhD-Board where PhD-supervisors and PhD-students are represented. The PhD-board is responsible for quality enhancement and development of the PhD-education.

Research areas
The PhD-students enrolled under the program conduct research within the focus areas of the department and are members of the relevant sections under the department to ensure optimum anchorage of the PhD-project in a dynamic research environment. Each section has individual research profiles and governance with frequent meetings for peer sparring and cooperation.
